The technique itself was pretty easy, deciding what to do with the piece I did the technique on was hard! I stamped it with French Script and "aged it" and it reminded me of an old letter, maybe something that came off a pirate ship (ok.. wild imagination working). I really wanted to add an old skeleton key, but didn't have one. Searched for a clip art one, printed it, cut it out and used pearl ex on it, but it just didn't look right. I ended up doing a faux metal leaf. I still feel like it's missing something, but I've been working on this since the challenge came out yesterday and it's taken waaaaaaaaay too much time, so I'm settling for this! I might try another one, but will use different colors and go a completely different route! lol This looks so much better IRL. You can't see this shimmer of the pearl ex on the card, or the highlights I added to the leaf. The copper cord doesn't show up so well either.

I was sure I commented on this card when it was done for the challenge but I'm not here - until now! Great background and I really like the single leaf and cording.
