Let me just say...this card is one mistake after another! It's a miracle that It got to this point, and the funny thing is... I love the end result! HA!
It started out with faux linen. Sanded the cs and added rose red ink. As I was rubbing the paper, my hand slipped and kinked the paper creating a fold that gathered ink. I was wanting to do a houndstooth linen, so I stamped the houndstooth in bravo burg, dried it, then crinkled the paper up in my hands and flattened it out. Added some more rose red ink, then sanded it again. After the sanding, it removed alot of the houndstooth, so I stamped it again with the ink that was left on the stamp from the first try. OK I liked that result.
Then I stamped the roses with craft ink and for the leaves I used mellow moss and artichoke. Dried it with the heat tool and hated the color differences of the moss and artichoke. The moss was too light. I know!! I'll sand it again!! LOL! OK result was acceptable. Stamped the greeting in artichoke craft, thinking it would be dark enough. Dried it with the heat tool, and it got lost in the roses. Foiled again!! Grabbed my versamarker and drew over the greeting, then clear embossed it. Problem solved. Matted it on a piece of bravo burg, got it placed and then looked at it...the matting was crooked??!!!!! Somehow I screwed up the measurement. What to do? *lightbulb* I know! I will distress it with my fingernail! Problem solved.
Everything else went as planned for the card...LOL! I brayered artichoke on a piece of vellum and used it as the 2nd matting. stamped the word window punches with canvas, added the hardware and hammered the brads for more distress.
PHEW! I am exhausted! LOL!

My art teacher DH tells his kids, "There is no such thing as a mistake in art. There are only happy accidents!" I'd say your card is one of the finest happy accidents I've ever seen! TFS! :-D
