I needed a "quick" thank you for a man. Guy cards are always hard for me, but I was inspired by Jeanne S and Nancy Littrell. In fact, I was just going to CASE one of Nancy's cards, but then I decided that instead of going back and looking at the cards I had saved to my favorites I would just make something based on the idea of their cards and this is what I came up with. (and ok - it wasn't really that "quick" afterall. LOL!)
It's an odd size because it had to fit a gift certificate we had purchased - it's 6 1/4 x 4 1/2. I made this pretty piece of linen (using a sanding block and Autumn Leaves K-pad with a brayer), stamped the trees in Chocolate Chip and cut out the oval. Then I decided the leftover piece was too pretty not to use, so I cut another bigger oval out of Choc Chip and mounted on my original linen piece.
If you haven't tried faux linen yet, you really must try it! Go to TLC35 in the technique challenge forum for all the info. It's so fun and easy!

Jami - I love the way you used the frame part, too, but flipped it. I was like "huh"??? ROFL! I'm such a dork! You're so awesome with your k-pads! This is beautiful!

This is absolutely stunning--you can "feel" the faux linen. I must go home and try this.
Love everything about this card-the colors, layout, technique, frame and hodgepodge
Great job!!!
