Thanks Shannon Sanders for bringing a shadow box to the swap at our stamp camp, I had never seen these before and I am very excited about making them! They are easy to create and look so amazing-definitely something you'd leave up on the mantle forever! Here is my version using stipple rose and words of wisdom. Would be a very nice card/gift for Mother's Day or a wedding!
To make: Use two half sheets of CS, or to fit in a large envelope, trim each piece to 7 7/8" x 5 1/2. Score both pieces about 3/4" in on each side, then another 3/4" in from that (so second score line is at 1 1/2" in from edge on either side. Stamp front piece as desired, create a window using coluzzle or other shape with hobby blade. Stamp focal point through window to make sure it's centered, then stamp inside. Embellish and add other cut out things or paper layers inside to make it more dimensional. Attach both sides with eyelets to secure and tie with ribbon. When completed, fold the scores and it stands up! Amazing!
