The girls and I made these for the first time ever tonight. They're so easy! The plan was to wait and give them for Father's Day but I don't think I can wait! He comes home in a few days from a business trip - maybe we can pretend it's Father's Day then! LOL
Edited 5/15/07 to add:
Christie Daughtery on the Panama Canal cruise told us how to use craft ink and UTEE (Glassy Glaze) on tiles. It's actually very simple. Stamp desired images (and handprints in this case) on tile. I needed the paint brush to literally paint more craft ink on the tile as it didn't stamp evenly/fully. Pour glassy glaze over craft ink, shake off excess, bake in the oven (or toaster oven) at 350 for about 15 minutes - just until it all melts. Let cool - voila! These are strictly for decorative purposes and cannot be used as a trivet for hot plates, pans, etc.

Me too! Me too! I would love to know how you did this... I have visions of little craft ink-stained hands! LOL! That's why my kids would LOVE this project!
Wow, these are great! I am going to be stamping some tiles, but to add these to the collection would be a great thing! I agree, instructions would be wonderful!
