At this time of year I lament that I don't have Pussywillows in my yard. Using this great stamp image from Serendipity consoles me a little. Here's how I made this card:
Using the brayered sky technique, created the sky with Baja Breeze and Blue Bayou, the grass with Soft Sage.
I stamped the pussywillow branches on the left side with Versafine Vintage Sepia. For the impression of being closer and larger, the branches on the right side are stamped with Versamark and Palette Burnt Umber and embossed with clear EP. The branches are colored in with Creamy Caramel ink and a blender pen. For the bird's legs, I colored the bird image with the Basic Black marker (excluding the tail) and stamped it on the branch using the stampa-ma-jig.
The "catkins" were colored in with the White Souffle pen, shaded with the Going Gray marker and a blender pen. On the right side image only, I covered the catkins with white Fun Flock using Mono-Multi Adhesive.
The bird is stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with clear EP, then colored with a blender pen and the Pacific Point marker and a sponge dauber using Apricot Appeal ink. There's some shading on the edges with the Apricot marker. I then covered the image with Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear EP, cut out the body and popped it up on dimensionals over the bird image previously stamped in black.
The sentiment is stamped with Versafine black and embossed with clear EP, and then cut with the nestabilities petite oval die. I kept the die in place and sponged with Apricot Appeal. It's layered onto Blue Bayou cardstock cut with the Labels Four die and popped up on dimensionals.
This card is 5 x 6 1/2 inches.
