This is for the Ways to Use it Challenge encouraging us to not stop short, instead decorate all the way to the border. One way to do that is to use an embossing folder that primarily imprints the edges or border, as I did here. For the cake image, I used the sketchy outline stamp from a two-step stamp set and colored it with chalks, rather than use the solid stamp that coordinates with it. It's a light and delicate look. For sparkle, I added some sequins, one clear rhinestone at the base of the candle and some Dazzlin' Details around the flame. I cut out my sentiment with the modern label punch and punched another one in pink to go behind it. I sliced the pink one in half and extended it outward to show on each end. The sentiment is raised up. It's a pretty simple card that was enhanced with decorating all the way to the border. Fun challenge. Thanks for looking!

This is such a beautiful EF you used and works perfectly for finishing off the borders of a card. Super cute cake and the added sequins are a perfect finishing touch to the cake. Thank you for creating such a darling card for the decorative borders challenge.

YOur delicate chalking is just the thing for making this card soft and pretty. Nice ef border.

Sighs, so many of those frame embossing folders are designed for American A2 and just don't quite work on the European equivalent. Good for my budget, but sad. Great way of decorating to the edge, Diane.
I'm sure you'll enjoy the curved border dies if you go for them. I have several ideas for using them - just not enough time!!
