At first I only saw it as shape and color and shadow, and then - all at once - I saw that it was a grenade! What? It's not that I like grenades, but I do like the idea of something hiding in plain site.
I took the idea of a stark separation of color by cutting a piece of Yupo on the diagonal and separately working different colors of alcohol ink before putting them back together in a square.
Then I stamped a leaf onto acetate, disguising it as a tree. On the back of the acetate, I put red and copper stickles, making a pretty fall leaf/tree.
Happy Fall, everybody!

That is what I need to do more often for these inspiration challenges is focus on the shapes instead of what I am actually looking at. I love your leaf to replace that "shape". We would wonder about you a little if you wanted the grenade on your card! Your bold colors are wonderful!

This is such an intriguing design - I like to discover things in plain sight too, and so I loved that your 'tree' turned out to be a leaf!! How brilliant is that??!! This is such a fun and unique design. Love it!

This is beautiful!!! And certainly prettier and nicer than your inspiration you picked out. Giggles --- but I love that blue and green contrast to that copper leaf -- it is gorgeous!!
