I'm happy that we're celebrating one of my favorite stampers today. Lv2grdn is our Featured Stamper this week. Jeannie's cards are always so creative and attractive. I had SUCH a hard time choosing a card to CASE today. Ultimately, I decided on this card because I'm out of sympathy cards and always like to have some on hand just in case. I started with the sheet of Ripe Avocado and wanted to try bleaching today. So I stamped my flowers all over and then took a Q-tip and some bleach and colored them in. It was scary playing with bleach, but really fun to watch the flowers just get lighter and lighter. After letting it dry for a bit, I went back in and re-stamped flowers using my Stamp-a-ma-jig and then I went in with some gold gel pen details. Finished off with a gold embossed sentiment and some dark blue matting.

What a gorgeous effect you achieved! I love that colour of green and your flowers look amazing as a lighter shade of it. The blue outlines and framing make a wonderful contrast.

Wow Jen! Your stamped flowers are beautiful, and your bleached technique has stepped them up several notches to GORGEOUS!!
Im very interested in this technique and keep reminding myself when I do laundry, I need to rally up a small container for bleach and take to my craft room. The problem is, Im easily distracted when doing laundry (house chores for that matter) and forget about it! Ahhh, the Trials and tribulations of retired life! Lol. Youve inspired me to give it a go!
Thanks so much for your kind words and your monumental creative talent!!
