I have for a long time, written myself little notes when I get inspired by other's work here at SCS. Little things like "use more vellum" or "try this technique." If the idea is really specific, I'll write down the SCS member to credit later. The problem was, I was writing all the ideas on post-it notes. When they started taking over my computer, and my stamp area, I decided it wasn't working very well that way. So I went to Target and found this cute little notebook in a twin-pack for $2.49, not sure what to do yet with the second notebook.
I covered it with Chatterbox paper, which took a couple tries to get the size right. Punched a hole for the snap. The closure was originally a Kraft color, as was the whole notebook, so I inked it in Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue.
Then I added the ric rac, could not get Sticky Strip to work, so I used Crystal Effects to glue it down. The black part that still shows is part of the original notebook. I had a little silver frame that fit the "Inspiration Journal" sentiment perfectly, but I didn't like the silver, so I colored it with a black Sharpie. Noticed that it scratched off easily, so I sprayed it with a sealant. Tied the ribbons on the spirals, and added rhinestones to the frame, and I was done!

I've always wanted to do one of these! Actually, *always* has been since I saw Jaron do one at regionals last year *wink*. I think it's a fabulous idea! Yours is really pretty!
