I went for gold, as I had several of these leaves on my desk. They are fairly dimensional, it's one of those 3D folders that cuts the leaf shape and embosses it. So I used some hot glue as a filler to help retain the dimension, as well as securing the gold cord which I tied around it after threading with two paper beads. The layer behind it is, I think, coffee filter background, so Brushos on photo paper. It's one of the scraps I had spatteted with diluted gold Stickles - my way of using up the ends of bottles. I stamped an old script stamp and Off the Grid on it, and added some fibre.
The back was stamped with IO Maple Leaves and edged with a gold pen and Stickles in each corner. I'll probably add a sentiment when I use it.

I could tell I was going to fave this before I opened the thumbnail...and that's what I did. Gorgeous! Hot glue to keep dimension...we'll have to chat about that.

A beautiful card and love the contrast of the black and white background. Your beads made a lovely finishing touch.

Lovely card! Just love the colors against the simple black and white leaves. And that gold leaf is a real stunner! I was sure it was some kind of colored brass metal embellishment.

this came out great. I love that gold leaf.. and the leaf background is perfect. The coloring on the center section is awesome and really adds detail to this card.

Oh I initially thought that gold leaf was a piece of jewelry. My aunt gave me some old jewelry to use on cards and this reminded me of one of the pieces. That is amazing dimension on the leaf and your card is gorgeous showcasing it too.

This card is so gorgeous! Love the colored panel behind the gold leaf which, of course, is the star of the show. But even the thin, delicate, gold framing around the background is perfect!

Gorgeous! You always make your cards look easy but there is so much detail that works together perfectly. I thought your gold leaf was a large charm. So pretty.
