I don't have any experience with the Sterilite brand, but use the Iris carts for my stamps and they are very sturdy. I bought my first Iris carts over 12 years ago...and they're still holding...

I have one, too, and love it. My husband put it together pretty easily. Just an FYI...the cropper hopper paper holders need to be trimmed - they don't fit as is. Pics of my room can be found...

I've used Krylon spray sealer...both matte and gloss. I also used a brush-on sealer that I found at Michael's near the acrylic paints. Never had trouble with it coming off, so I'm not sure why that...

I used a gloss sealer for mine and they work well. I don't put things directly from the oven on them, though. I ran my cork through my Xyron to adhere to the back. HTH and have fun!
