For background stamps I put the cs down on top of the stamp. Sometimes I add a sheet of scratch paper before I rub it to make sure I get a good impression. Good luck!

You can do this. But it isn't pure. The search will bring up lots of cards that aren't necessarily done with the set you are looking for. But it is an option for those who can't afford to pay.

I have seen some neat ones with pictures on them as if they were a scrapbook page too.
